Ecoshelta has undertaken the development of rapid response modular dwellings for the last two decades. These buildings are fully pre-fabricated in Australia and erected on various challenging and remote sites along the Eastern seaboard of and overseas. We have completed high quality accommodation projects in environmentally sensitive sites in Vanuatu and Hong Kong, remote areas off Flinders Island off Tasmania, the wilds of the Kimberley and in exposed coastal and mountain regions of mainland Australia.

Many of our buildings have been sited in remote coastal and bushland sites and we have extensive experience with remote area logistics, minimal environmental impact works, stand alone sustainably serviced accommodation and ecotourism facilities development, particularly in areas where traditional building systems are inappropriate or unavailable.

Being prefabricated and modular in design our buildings are highly adaptable to site conditions and regional planning requirements as well as being fully removable and relocatable with minimal site intrusion, making them highly suited to leasehold sites, seasonal ecosystem reserves and delicate and changing environments.

This same highly adaptable modularity allows buildings to be added to and altered at any stage at short notice responding the continually varying tourism marketplace. It also allows for straightforward maintenance and updating of facilities by module replacement, minimising downtime, guest disturbance and keeping the buildings fresh, alive and relevant to contemporary expectations.
