What Are EcoSheltas Made Of ?

The main structural frame elements are fabricated from factory welded marine grade structural aluminium. We believe due to its very high strength, low weight and resilience that this provides the most minimal solution in terms of environmental impact.  see here for an extended discussion.

All timber is source from recycled, stock or forest steward council certified supplies or certified ecoselect Australian plantation grown sources.   All timber is finished in nontoxic low irritant naturals oils and finishes such as OrganOil and Bees Wax.

We use EcoPly for all panels.

We use non-toxic, non -llergenic polywool insulation throughout walls, floors and ceiling panels.

We use recycled products such as MODWOOD made from post consumer PET.

We carefully monitor and assess all our fabrication processes to ensure minimal wastage and the avoidance of any harmful or polluting processes.

We base ourselves near to main ports and rail hubs to minimise the use of road transport for our supplies and products.

We encourage the use of public transport, walking and cycling for our staff, and are committed to reducing our businesses environmental footprint in many ways.
